Neck Pain: Experiencing difficulty in neck mobility, stiffness combined with tingling in the fingers, pain to the touch, or even headaches. There are many causes of neck pain. For example:

  •          Poor sitting posture puts the neck in an awkward position and causes pain
  •          Trauma like a auto accident or a sports injury may cause a painful condition called whiplash
  •          Wear and tear from arthritis or disc problems may also be a cause

Shoulder Pain: There are many different causes of shoulder pain, some for no apparent reason or it may be a specific injury. For instance:

  •          Any overhead activities such as swimming or throwing a baseball may cause pinching of the rotator cuff or biceps tendons
  •          Poor sitting posture may increase stress on the shoulder and cause pain
  •          Trauma such as falls or auto accidents can also injure the shoulder

Low Back Pain: The three most common causes of low back pain are poor sitting posture, frequent forward bending and lifting heavy items. There is no apparent reason for the onset of symptoms however, repetitive strain on the structure around the lumbar spine is the main cause of low back pain. Serious degenerative condition in an accident can cause chronic lower back pain.

Sciatic Pain: The sciatic nerve is the longest and widest single never in the human body. It originates in the low back and runs through a number of muscles in the buttock area, down the back of the leg and calf ending in the foot. Sciatic usually manifests as sharp, shooting pain that radiates down the entire length of the leg due to an impingement in the nerve. With the right physical therapy treatment you can have a quick and long-lasting recovery.

Knee Pain: The knee joint is one of the largest joints in the body and the most commonly injured joint in all age groups. It is comprised of two bones connected by four strong ligaments. These ligaments serve to stabilize and control the motion of the knee joint. Our physical therapists often diagnose certain injuries through a thorough physical examination.

Automobile Accident: One of the most stressful aspects of life is dealing with the problems that arise after an automobile accident. And one of the most common symptoms is whiplash.

Whiplash: It is known that the head and neck of the injured person accelerates 3 to 5 times faster than the acceleration of the car. This sudden impact produces damage to muscles, nerves, and ligaments that cause neck pain and other symptoms. Even if you are not in pain following a whiplash incident, it is imperative that you receive prompt attention to your injury. Typically you will experience pain, numbness, headaches, muscle stiffness, fatigue and other symptoms many months down the road.

Our medical professionals use specific techniques to help restore proper motion and re-position individual spinal bones to promote proper healing. Remember nothing is more important than your health.

Work Injury: You should notify your supervisor/employer first and then seek medical attention. Our medical specialists will evaluate and determine what treatment is best for you.
